Well, I initially thought it is going to be an easy song to write its notations. And indeed I wrote the notations in couple of hours time, with taking Pancham (P) of middle octave as the first note.
But, after finishing the notations, when I found that I missed Rafi ji’s opening ‘Humming’ part of this song, I started to figure out the notations. But as I had already completed the notations of the rest of the song, I was unable to fit the notes for this Prelude part. Then after listening to the song for dozens of times, I came to the conclusion that I had taken a wrong note (P) to begin the song.
The only option left now was to start afresh. I jotted down the notes for the humming part which brought me to the first word of this song to be played at High Octave Shadaj (S’).
I learnt my lesson that I must listen to any song in its totality inlcude, prelude, interludes and postludes, so that the final notations are in line with the entire melody of the song.
So, I’m giving below both the notations – the one that I started with Pa and the revised one with Sa’
