Sargam for song: Piya Re Piya Re

Musician and Singer : Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan
Album : Non-filmi Music Video (1997)

A beautiful composition by Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and equally beautiful picturisation with Sharbani Mukherjee and Pravin Dabas on screen.  One of the most favourite romantic songs of people who were in their teens and youth during 1990’s.
Enjoy!

In the process of producing Sargam notations of a song, this song I quote as an example of how you can begin playing a song from an Interlude and then come back to the beginning with correct note.

Sargam for this song could be produced in any scale of flute because it contains a clue. The clue is the Interlude Sargam that goes like MPN DPN DP Mg Rg Rg R S.  So even if you do not get to find the first note of the song, you can start with this Interlude and then automatically, you end up playing the correct notes for the Antara which will eventually take you to play the correct first note for the word “Piya” that is “Ma”.
