Sargam notations for song Kaash tere ishq me nilam ho jau
Singer : Ghulam Jugni
Music: Tarun Rishi
Lyrics: Kala Assi

This is a melodious romantic song sung by Ghulam Jugni. When I first heard this song it did not motivate me much to jot down its Sargam notes, but when I happened to listened to it for a couple of times, I fell in love with the lyrics, especially the couplets (Sher). I then played it on flute (F# Scale) and it sounded beautiful and that was enough for me to write down the notes. If you haven’t listened to this song, please do so and then play it on your instruments. Hope you’ll enjoy.

With no ofences, one interesting observation about this Singer. Ghulam Jugni says “Gha” for “Ha” and hence the last para of this song sounds weird like:

Soorme Ki Tarah Pii Jaa,
Galaan Toh Ne Ghame,
Tabb Jaa Ke Chadhein Hai,
Gham Unn Ki Neegah Pe,

However, the correct wordings are:
Surme Ki Tarah peesa
Halaato Ne hame
Tab Ja Ke Chadhein Hai
Hum Unki Neegah Pe

Iss nahi ka koi ilaaj nahi
Roj keh dete ho aaj nahi.
