THE CONCEPT
INSTRUMELODIES is a workshop cum live stage show on instrumental music and musical instruments with an Idea to encourage and promote talented instrumentalists as well as motivate young generation to take up musical instruments as hobby or profession.
INSTRUMELODIES aims to elevate the celebration of instrumental music by featuring a diverse range of talented instrumental musicians from varied walks of life – most of whom are either self-taught or amateur, and their unique performances. The previous season which was held in January 2024 in New Delhi highlighted the profound impact of instrumental melodies, and we intend to build on this foundation by incorporating more interactive and inclusive elements in season 2.
WISH TO PARTICIPATE?
Anyone can participate in this Instrumental Music live show, provided that he/she:
- Should not be a professional music artist who performs for a living.
- Can play some musical instrument like, any wind / key / string instruments on which songs can be played such as, Flute, Harmonica, Trumpet, Saxophone, Shehnai, Harmonium, Piano, Keyboard, Banjo, Melodica, Sitar, Guitar, Violin, Celo, Santoor, Sarod, Sarangi, Surbahar, Veena, etc. etc. (this list is only illustrative not exhaustive).
- You may participate as an individual, as a team of two, or as a group of more than two musicians.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE
ENTRY FOR AUDITION
- Record your min. 02-minute video playing some music on your musical instrument/s.
- Send it through Whatsapp only to +91-9013921743 with your details.
- If selected by our technical team, you will be invited to perform on stage at the INSTRUMELODIES 2.0.
- On selection, you will have to complete the registration by making a payment of Rs.2,000/- for each performer.
DISQUALIFICATION
Your participation in this season of Instrumlodies will be cancelled under following circumstances:
- If you send recording or your vocal performance.
- If your video is not visible/audible.
- If your face is clearly not visible in the video.
- If your entry is received after cut-off date/s.
- If information provided by you is found to be incorrect.
- If, after clearing audition, you do not make payment of registration fee.
WHAT WILL HAPPEN AT THE EVENT?
- Before the actual event, all participants will be required to attend 2 rehearsals.
- They will have to bring their own instruments to perform in rehearsals and at the event.
- At the event, every performer (either individual or in group) will get 10-minutes to perform on stage.
- They will have to be ready for their performance well before their scheduled slot.
- All performers will be presented with momentos.
- There will be a ‘Best Performer of the Day’ award based on audience choice.
- Certificate of Participation will be given to all the performers.
- The event will be followed by dinner.
- The event will be digitally covered and telecast on our YouTube channel

4:00 – 4:15 : Registrations
4:15 – 4:30 : Welcoming / Lamp Lighting
4:30 – 5:00 : “How to sound good while playing instrumental music”
5:00 – 5:30 : “Understanding Sur, Taal, Laya in music”
5:30 – 6:00 : Question and Answers on music
6:00 – 8:45 onwards : Performances by Instrumental Music players
8:45 – 9:00 : Felicitations and vote of thanks
9:00 – 9:30 : Dinner & Close
